Aptēre

Aptère is a duo bringing together cellist Lina Belaïd and accordionist Antoine Girard around a shared passion for live and popular music, traditional, contemporary, jazz, Balkan, and musette. The sounds of bowed strings and blown reeds blend and mingle on their playing field. Sensitive compositions and adventurous improvisations reveal rich sound palettes, haunting rhythms, bold harmonies, and a melodic lyricism imbued with oriental ornamentation.
